What does it mean when the makeup is ';mineralize';? Like the mac eyeshadows, foundation, blush, etc.?

I don't understand what that means can someone please tell me? :):):)What does it mean when the makeup is ';mineralize';? Like the mac eyeshadows, foundation, blush, etc.?
Mineralize means made with minerals. Typically minerals come in two forms-either loose (the Mineralize Loose foundation) or baked (giving them the dome shape) and the advantage with baked eyeshadows is that you can easily use them wet or dry without any adverse effect on the shadow. In some cases, the minerals do come in a liquid form (the Mineralize Satinfinish) but you're most likely to see it in a baked form from MAC, Too Faced, and Laura Geller, among others.

When you're comparing a pressed and a baked shadow, a baked one can vary a lot wider in pigmentation. I have some MAC baked shadows with a lot of pigmentation and some that aren't. They can also be flakier in some cases. What does it mean when the makeup is ';mineralize';? Like the mac eyeshadows, foundation, blush, etc.?
